MOUNTAIN MELODIES AT KETTLE FALLS MUSEUM - 2003
Mountain Melodies Chorus performs for Kettle Falls Historical Society Community Art Show
If you are ever driving Highway 395 from Spokane to Grand Forks, British Columbia, and have time to stop at a Museum, this would be a great place to stop. The Museum is located near the original location of Fort Colville of the Hudson's Bay Company (though the Fort is now at the bottom of the lake behind the Grand Coulee Dam). The history of this region is part of the growth of this nation and Canada.
For some really interesting information on the Museum, and a little device at the site that tells you where it is and how far from your home, click the picture below:
The Mountain Melodies have performed at the Historical Society hosted annual Community Art Show and open house for several years. Here are some pictures of the performance for 2003.
Kettle Falls was a major salmon fishing site for the whole region. That is why salmon are such a part of the Museum. The sparkling bronze salmon mounted in the entry walls were done by a local artist.
